But we can make them simpler. Here’s a quick breakdown of how taxes work on Clued, so you can stay organized and stress-free.

Opt In, Stay In Control

You get to decide if you want to collect sales tax. Just head to settings in your app and turn on the tax collection toggle, and choose which states you would like to collect sales taxes for.

It’s Location Based

We calculate tax based on where you and your customers live. If tax applies, we automatically charge your customer the correct amount at checkout.

How It Shows Up in Your Wallet

Any sales taxes collected are added to your Clued wallet, right alongside your profits. You’ll see a clear breakdown so you know exactly what’s yours and what needs to be set aside for taxes.

Monthly Tax Reports

If you’re opted in, we generate a tax report for you on the first of each month.

One More Thing

Clued helps you collect and track sales taxes, but we don’t remit them for you. That means you’re still responsible for filing and paying any taxes due. (We’re not tax advisors, just helpful shop assistants.)
